Danske Invest SICAV Euro Sustainable High Yield Bond is adjusting its name

Danske Invest SICAV Euro Sustainable High Yield Bond is changing its name and removing the word ‘Sustainable’. The reason is a harmonisation of fund names.

From 21 November 2022, Danske Invest SICAV Euro Sustainable High Yield Bond will change its name to Danske Invest High Yield Bond. The fund promotes environmental or social conditions and ensures good governance practices (ESG fund) and the word ‘sustainable’ is removed to harmonise the name with our other ESG funds, which do not have ‘sustainable’ as part of their name or a sustainable investment objective.

“We work broadly with sustainability across our funds, and the change of name does not alter our ambitions to promote environmental, social and governance standards in the fund, but is made to harmonise our fund names,” says Robert Mikkelstrup, Managing Director at Danske Invest.

About Danske Invest’s fund categorisation

An ESG fund promotes environmental (E) or social conditions (S) and ensures good governance practices (G). The funds promote ESG standards through screening, restrictions, investment analysis and active ownership, but they do not have sustainable investments as their objective. An ESG fund corresponds to an Article 8 fund (in the EU ‘Regulation on sustainability-related disclosures in the financial services sector’).

A fund with a sustainable investment objective also promotes ESG standards, like an ESG fund, but it invests primarily in economic activities that contribute to a sustainable objective. In addition, these funds must not have a significant negative impact on other sustainable objectives. This type of fund corresponds to an Article 9 fund (in the EU ‘Regulation on sustainability-related disclosures in the financial services sector’).
